This smooth, soft steamed egg is one easy breakfast option, with only two ingredients. Pure comfort food, especially on cold days.
- 300ml Restore chicken bone broth
- 2 eggs
- Pinch of salt to taste
- Garlic oil
- Soy sauce
- Spring onion
- Fried shallot
In a large wok, add about 3 cups of water, then place a steamer rack in the wok. Cover with a lid and bring the water to a boil.
Combine eggs, bone broth and salt into a bowl and whisk well. Strain the egg mixture through a sieve/strainer into a heat-proof bowl. This is important to keep the egg mixture smooth.
Cover the heat-proof bowl with a lid and place the bowl on top of the steam rack in the wok. Allow it to steam until the top is all set, about 20 minutes.
Garnish and serve.
